LEAVES
Leaves are the main photosynthetic organ in plants.
Blade- The flat part of the leaf
Petriole- the stem
cuticle-helps conserve water
3 types of tissue:
1) epidermis- protect the inner tissue
2)mesophyll- most of the photosynthesis takes place
3)vascular- were the xylem and the phloem

TODAY...
Today we did a leaf lab. The objectives of the lab is
1) to study the tissues that make up the leaves of a plant
2) examine the structure of a stomate

HOMEWORK

finish lab 25 "the structure of a leaf"
